According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for South Dakota counties, in April 2020, Oglala Lakota County had the highest number of people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (12.82K), followed by Pennington County (11.70K), and Todd County (8.27K).
