According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all Iowa counties, Polk County had the highest population density per square mile (860.54 people per sqr mile), followed by Scott County (381.29 people per sqr mile), and Linn County (321.17 people per sqr mile).
On the other hand, Ringgold County had the lowest population density (8.71 people per sqr mile), followed by Adams County (8.75 people per sqr mile), and Taylor County (11.09 people per sqr mile).
