According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all Missouri counties, St. Louis city had the highest population density per square mile (4.89K people per sqr mile), followed by St. Louis County (1.98K people per sqr mile), and Jackson County (1.19K people per sqr mile).
On the other hand, Shannon County had the lowest population density (7.00 people per sqr mile), followed by Worth County (7.40 people per sqr mile), and Knox County (7.43 people per sqr mile).
