According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all New Jersey counties, Hudson County had the highest population density per square mile (15.69K people per sqr mile), followed by Essex County (6.85K people per sqr mile), and Union County (5.60K people per sqr mile).

On the other hand, Salem County had the lowest population density (195.37 people per sqr mile), followed by Sussex County (278.06 people per sqr mile), and Hunterdon County (301.40 people per sqr mile).
