According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all South Dakota counties, Minnehaha County had the highest population density per square mile (244.43 people per sqr mile), followed by Lincoln County (112.87 people per sqr mile), and Davison County (45.81 people per sqr mile).
On the other hand, Harding County had the lowest population density (0.49 people per sqr mile), followed by Jones County (0.95 people per sqr mile), and Perkins County (0.99 people per sqr mile).
