According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all Vermont counties, Chittenden County had the highest population density per square mile (313.29 people per sqr mile), followed by Grand Isle County (89.19 people per sqr mile), and Washington County (87.11 people per sqr mile).

On the other hand, Essex County had the lowest population density (8.94 people per sqr mile), followed by Orleans County (39.44 people per sqr mile), and Orange County (42.60 people per sqr mile).
