California Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the California voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 1,757,768 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 5.70% of the total voting-age population of California.

Los Angeles County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (639,490), followed by San Bernardino County (136,376), and Alameda County (134,525).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Sierra County (3), Alpine County (9), and Modoc County (48).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Solano County had the highest percentage, with 13.92% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Alameda County (10.05%), and Sacramento County (9.44%).
