Delaware Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Delaware voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 164,887 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 21.04% of the total voting-age population of Delaware.

New Castle County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (110,949), followed by Kent County (34,986), and Sussex County (18,952).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Sussex County (18,952), Kent County (34,986), and New Castle County (110,949).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Kent County had the highest percentage, with 25.03% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by New Castle County (24.66%), and Sussex County (9.78%).
