Kentucky Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Kentucky voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 268,710 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 7.71% of the total voting-age population of Kentucky.

Jefferson County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (122,748), followed by Fayette County (35,152), and Christian County (11,100).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Robertson County (5), Owsley County (6), and Magoffin County (9).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Fulton County had the highest percentage, with 21.16% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Christian County (20.68%), and Jefferson County (19.98%).
