Ohio Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Ohio voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 1,085,613 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 11.79% of the total voting-age population of Ohio.

Cuyahoga County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (278,310), followed by Franklin County (209,976), and Hamilton County (152,332).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Monroe County (16), Vinton County (32), and Wyandot County (47).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Cuyahoga County had the highest percentage, with 27.59% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Hamilton County (23.60%), and Franklin County (20.54%).
