According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the death rate for Alaska was 8.64. Yukon-Koyukuk Borough had the highest death rate (15.12), followed by Wrangell City and Borough (13.42), and Prince of Wales-Hyder Borough (13.02). On the other hand, Aleutians East Borough had the lowest death rate (3.21), followed by Aleutians West Borough (3.71), and Denali Borough (5.68).
