According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the death rate for Florida was 9.06. Citrus County had the highest death rate (16.53), followed by Highlands County (14.67), and Hernando County (14.27). On the other hand, Orange County had the lowest death rate (5.76), followed by Leon County (5.94), and Osceola County (6.1).
