According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of deaths for Iowa was 28,054. Polk County had the highest number of deaths (3,096), followed by Linn County (1,648), and Scott County (1,428). On the other hand, Adams County had the lowest number of deaths (52), followed by Taylor County (57), and Osceola County (58).
