According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the number of deaths for Iowa was 32,979. Polk had the highest number of deaths (4,196), followed by Linn (2,190), and Scott (1,693). On the other hand, Adams had the lowest number of deaths (47), followed by Osceola (68), and Taylor (71).
