According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the number of deaths for Louisiana was 40,770. Jefferson had the highest number of deaths (3,931), followed by East Baton Rouge (3,457), and Orleans (2,858). On the other hand, Cameron had the lowest number of deaths (40), followed by Tensas (58), and East Carroll (82).
