According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the number of deaths for Louisiana was 50,094. Jefferson Parish had the highest number of deaths (4,223), followed by East Baton Rouge Parish (4,160), and Orleans Parish (3,387). On the other hand, Cameron Parish had the lowest number of deaths (52), followed by Tensas Parish (86), and East Carroll Parish (112).
