According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the number of deaths for Louisiana was 50,209. Jefferson had the highest number of deaths (4,377), followed by East Baton Rouge (4,289), and Orleans (3,599). On the other hand, Tensas had the lowest number of deaths (49), followed by Cameron (50), and East Carroll (82).
