According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the number of deaths for Montana was 9,111. Yellowstone County had the highest number of deaths (1,364), followed by Cascade County (818), and Missoula County (803). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of deaths (1), followed by Treasure County (6), and Golden Valley County (10).
