According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of deaths for Montana was 9,372. Yellowstone County had the highest number of deaths (1,348), followed by Missoula County (841), and Flathead County (812). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of deaths (3), followed by Golden Valley County (8), and Garfield County (9).
