According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the number of deaths for Nebraska was 19,570. Douglas County had the highest number of deaths (4,906), followed by Lancaster County (2,634), and Sarpy County (1,331). On the other hand, Loup County had the lowest number of deaths (3), followed by Thomas County (5), and Keya Paha County (5).
