According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the number of deaths for the United States was 3,438,423. California had the highest number of deaths (345,181), followed by Texas (270,419), and Florida (250,389). On the other hand, Alaska had the lowest number of deaths (5,330), followed by District of Columbia (5,837), and Wyoming (6,176).
