According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2013, the number of deaths for North Dakota was 6,220. Cass County had the highest number of deaths (951), followed by Burleigh County (656), and Ward County (512). On the other hand, Billings County had the lowest number of deaths (1), followed by Slope County (2), and Sheridan County (9).
