According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the number of deaths for Tennessee was 66,665. Shelby County had the highest number of deaths (8,003), followed by Davidson County (5,428), and Knox County (4,300). On the other hand, Moore County had the lowest number of deaths (58), followed by Pickett County (62), and Van Buren County (85).
