Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 189,328 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Alabama and they represented 3.95% of the total population of Alabama in 2011.

Jefferson County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (25,175), followed by Madison County (15,728), and Marshall County (11,652). On the other hand, Choctaw County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (72), followed by Greene County (77), and Wilcox County (80).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Franklin County had the highest percentage (15.19%), followed by DeKalb County (13.93%), and Marshall County (12.41%).
