Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 558,687 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Connecticut and they represented 15.61% of the total population of Connecticut in 2016.

Fairfield County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (181,056), followed by Hartford County (157,289), and New Haven County (150,484). On the other hand, Tolland County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (8,091), followed by Middlesex County (9,812), and Litchfield County (10,697).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Fairfield County had the highest percentage (19.16%), followed by Hartford County (17.59%), and New Haven County (17.54%).
