Louisiana Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2011

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 201,781 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Louisiana and they represented 4.41% of the total population of Louisiana in 2011.

Jefferson Parish had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (56,096), followed by Orleans Parish (18,956), and East Baton Rouge Parish (16,255). On the other hand, Tensas Parish had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (74), followed by Catahoula Parish (107), and Red River Parish (111).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Jefferson Parish had the highest percentage (12.92%), followed by St. Bernard Parish (9.4%), and Vernon Parish (7.82%).
