Maine Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2022

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 30,315 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Maine and they represented 2.18% of the total population of Maine in 2022.

Cumberland County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (8,694), followed by York County (4,740), and Penobscot County (3,155). On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (336), followed by Franklin County (509), and Lincoln County (514).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Cumberland County had the highest percentage (2.82%), followed by Washington County (2.51%), and Kennebec County (2.24%).
