According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration rate for North Dakota was -5.15. Nelson County had the highest net domestic migration rate (28.13) followed by Billings County (25.32), and Golden Valley County (23.02). On the other hand, Williams County had the lowest net domestic migration rate (-75), followed by McKenzie County (-70.34), and Sioux County (-32.25).
