United States Net International Migration By State in 2023

According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net international migration for the United States was 2,294,299. Florida had the highest net international migration (342,211), followed by California (292,721), and Texas (262,618). On the other hand, Montana had the lowest net international migration 371, followed by Wyoming (1,037), and South Dakota (1,314).

Net International migration for a given state refers to the difference between number of people moving to the state from other parts of the world outside the borders of the United States (50 states and District of Columbia) and the number of people moving out of the state to other parts of the world outside the borders of the United States.
