Idaho Net Migration By County in 2017

According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the net migration for Idaho was 26,857. Ada County had the highest net migration (10,125) followed by Kootenai County (3,958), and Canyon County (3,907). On the other hand, Madison County had the lowest net migration (-545), followed by Power County (-157), and Minidoka County (-63).

Net migration for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county. Or to put it simply, the net migration for a given county is the inbound migration minus the outbound migration for that county.
