Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, among all Michigan counties, Mackinac County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native (16.41%), followed by Chippewa County (16.14%), and Baraga County (13.29%).
