Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, among all Iowa counties, Black Hawk County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (8.66%), followed by Scott County (6.94%), and Polk County (6.11%).
