Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, among all Iowa counties, Black Hawk County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (9.4%), followed by Scott County (7.38%), and Johnson County (7.18%).
