Based on data from the CDC, the overall number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any non-opioid sedatives in the US in 2022 was 11,557, and the age adjusted rate per 100,000 persons was 7. These overall values was based on data from 35 jurisdictions (i.e. states and DC).

Among all states with data, Pennsylvania had the highest number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any non-opioid sedatives (1,514), followed by Illinois (794), Ohio (773), and North Carolina (767).

In terms of the age-adjusted rate of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any non-opioid sedatives per 100K persons, West Virginia had the highest (26.6), followed by Vermont (20.2), and Connecticut (18.2).
