On 5/5/21, at approximately 0700 hours, while performing HATS Categories IV (handling during ante-mortem) and III (water and feed availability), IIC observed the following non-compliance; There was a single steer in pen #11 with no access to water. The animal arrived the previous evening and employees failed to place a water receptacle in the pen with him. The animal appeared alert and healthy. Employee REDACTED was notified of this non-compliance and he immediately retrieved a tub and placed water in the pen with the steer. This is a violation of 9CFR 313.2(e), HATS Category III.
