On 5/06/2021 while performing the Humane Handling Verification Task under HATS Category 8 at Hometown Butcher M9112, an ineffective initial shot was delivered with a 22 magnum at 10:16 CT which did not render the animal insensible to pain. SVMO REDACTED, after hearing the first shot, entered the slaughter floor and witnessed the bovine still standing on all fours moving its head up and down in the headgate. The stunner took a second immediate and effective shot with the 22 magnum and rendered the animal insensible to pain thereafter. The chute was rejected with tag number B38644069. The establishment owner, Cory Stone, was notified of the non-compliance.
