On 09-01-22 while performing HATS category IV – Ante-mortem, I noticed the following noncompliance with HATS Category III – Water and Feed Availability: At approximately 10:30 am while performing ante-mortem on a hog in the holding pen I noticed that there was no water available for the hog nor was there any water container present in the pen.. Upon further inspection I noticed that there was no water or water container present for the two hogs in the alleyway that was being used as a holding pen. This is a non-compliance with 9CFR 313.2(e) animals shall have access to water in all holding pens. I informed Ms. REDACTED, Manager, of the failure to comply with 9CFR 313.2(e) and notified her of this forthcoming noncompliance record.
