Today, on 11 August 2022, approximately at 1150 hours, I, CSI, REDACTED, observed the following non-compliance while performing my inspection task to verify Humane Handling compliance with HATS Category III. In Pen 1, approximately 25 lambs did not have access to water. In addition, there was no water bucket present in the Pen 1. This observance is a non-compliance with regulation 9 CFR 313.2 (e), which requires that water to accessible to livestock in all holding pens, and that animals held longer than 24 hours have access to feed. I notified Mr. REDACTED, Plant Manager, to above mentioned non-compliance. I observed Mr. REDACTED, Plant Employee, move the lambs into Pen 2 which had a supply of fresh water.
