Non-Compliance Description:

On 8/25/22 at approximately 9:00am while conducting a humane handling inspection task and verifying the HATS categories during a visit with the FLS and then again at approximately 11:00am during a visit with the DVMS, the following non-compliance was noted: - Multiple broken wires that comprise the fence material in the holding pens are poking slightly inwards and multiple pipes at the bottom of the fence are rusted and with holes in them. This is a concern for potential injury to the livestock in the pens. The failure of maintaining facilities in good repair, which may lead to animal injury is none compliant with 9 CFR 313.1 (a). Plant management was notified of the non-compliance the next day at 10:20am since due to an emergency, plant management was not available when this was detected on 8/25/22.
