At approximately 11am on Thursday, 2/3/22, I, SPHV Dr. REDACTED, while performing ante-mortem inspection in the holding pen, observed noncompliance with HATS Category VII, Slips/Falls. Three beef were in a holding pen and the pen floor had standing water and an accumulation of mud and feces and I observed one beef slip and fall, leaving a slip mark on the floor. The adjacent pen also contained three beef and the pen floor had an accumulation of mud and feces and there were slip marks on the floor. Corrective action was implemented immediately in my presence and the area released. Plant Owners, REDACTED and REDACTED, were notified of this noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.1(b).
