HATS Category III- Water and Feed Availability On April 6, 2022, at approximately 0840 hours, during a District Veterinary Medical Specialist (DVMS) routine humane handling verification review, the DVMS-trained Public Health Veterinarian (DTP), Dr. REDACTED, noticed the following noncompliance with HATS Category III- Water and Feed Availability: There was no water available for the beef animals in the holding pens. Water tubs were available but were not being used. REDACTED, Establishment owner, was notified of the noncompliance. Mr. REDACTED informed establishment personnel to water the animals in the holding pens. Dr. REDACTED found the tubs in the pens filled with water so a regulatory control action was not taken. This is a noncompliance of 9 CFR 313.2(e).
