Non-Compliance Description:

While performing a preoperational inspection of the Dealaman Enterprise at approximately 0630, I, FI REDACTED under the direction of SCSI REDACTED, observed the following non-compliances: in the alley way, where the larger animals are driven prior to slaughter, there was a floor drain that did not have a cap. Another drain was at the bottom of the ramp that leads to the small pig stunning area. It also did not have a cap on it. Once I entered the outside pens, I saw the entrance door to the pens had several screws and nails exposed at the bottom right corner. I immediately address this issue to REDACTED (QC Assistant). I told him that the animals will not be allowed through the doorway until it was corrected. I did not place a reject tag, because Mr. REDACTED addressed the issue immediately. Mr. REDACTED cut the screws and nails as a temporary correction, that would allow animals to move freely without possible injury. After reinspecting the area, it was satisfactory to allow the animals in the pen. I informed Mr. REDACTED that a permanent correction is necessary. This is in violation of 9CFR 313.1(a) pens, driveways and ramps shall maintained in good repair 313.1(b) pens shall be constructed and maintained to provide good footing for livestock.
