Non-Compliance Description:

On 10/11/23, IIC REDACTED discovered the following humane handling violation. The knock box floor had two holes in it where welds had broke, creating a potential hazard. This violates 9 CFR 313.1(b) which states "Floors of livestock pens, ramps, and driveways shall be constructed and maintained so as to provide good footing for livestock. Slip resistant or waffled floor surfaces, cleated ramps and the use of sand, as appropriate, during winter months are examples of acceptable construction and maintenance." U.S. Reject tag NO. B42189290 was applied. Plant owner REDACTED was notified and a temporary solution was found.
