On Thursday July 18, 2024, at 08:37 while performing a PHIS Humane Handling Verification Task-Review and Observations at the animal pens, CSI REDACTED observed one pen with approximately 5 hogs that did not have access to water. Establishment management was notified of this noncompliance immediately in order to implement appropriate corrective actions. This finding is a noncompliance with US Regulation 9 CFR 313.2 (e) that states: "(E) Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens.
