HATS Category III - Water and Feed Availability (9 CFR 313.2) While performing a Humane Handling Verification Task of HATS Category III, Water and Feed Availability, on 05/20/2024 at approximately 1130 hours, I, CSI REDACTED observed the following noncompliance: IPP observed two pigs in the establishment’s holding pen did not have access to water. I informed Slaughter Floor Supervisor, Mr. REDACTED, that water should be accessible to livestock in all holding pens to be in accordance with 9 CFR 313.2(e). Mr. REDACTED immediately turned on the water valve leading to the pens water system. I informed Mr. REDACTED of the noncompliance and verbally stated that I would be writing a noncompliance to document my findings.
