On July 23,2024 at approximately 0700 while performing pre-operational inspection the following was observed: At the pen #5 where the cows are inspected for Ante-Morten, the floor was not maintained or covered with wood shavings and this is a violation of 9CFR 313.1(B) which reads: "Floors of livestock pens, ramps, and driveways shall be constructed and maintained so as to provide good footing for livestock. Slip resistant or waffled floor surfaces, cleated ramps and the use of sand, as appropriate, during winter months are examples of acceptable construction and maintenance." Management was notified about it and indicated that the problem was going to be corrected yesterday. No adulterated product is known to have entered commerce.
