313.1,313.2
On 5/24/2024 at approximately 1030 hours while performing a routine Humane Handling task I observed the following noncompliances: 1) There are numerous loose, hanging wires, broken pipe rails and other damaged, broken or otherwise in need of repair, gates and fencing panels. 2) Several gates were left unsecured or were unsecurable due to being in need of repair and there were loose animals in the aisle of the livestock holding area of the building. 3) Livestock had not been given food or fresh water since the previous day. I performed another follow-up inspection before end-of-shift (1530 hours) and animals had still not received food or water. This is a violation of 9 CFR 313.1(a) Livestock pens, driveways and ramps; and 313.2(e) Handling of livestock I informed Mr. REDACTED, plant manager, and Mr. REDACTED, plant supervisor of the noncompliances.
