On August 26, 2024, while conducting a Humane Handling Task on HATS categories III, I, CSI, REDACTED observed the following non-compliance at approximately 0800 hours. While observing the animals in the pens during antemortem, I observed one of the pens which contained 1 beef, had no water available. I informed REDACTED of the noncompliance with the failure to always provide water to the animals. This is non-compliant with 9 CFR 313.2(e). The owner immediately provided a bucket of water in the pen. I informed REDACTED verbally and REDACTED in writing this noncompliance record of the failure to comply with 9 CFR 313.2(e).
