HATS category III: Water and feed availability; 9CFR 313.2(e). Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed. On 04/22/2025, while performing antemortem inspection no non-compliances were observed on the pens, all the animals have access to water, etc. At the time of signing pen cards were noticed that animals on pen 1 and 2, were dropped off on Monday evening (04/21), I asked the employee if he have fed the animals on those pens because I did not see any remains of food while performing antemortem inspection. He responded that they did not feed them because all the animals were dropped off the day before (04/22). I showed him the pen cards date, then he responded that he did not know it. After performing corrective actions, I went to talk to Mrs. REDACTED (owner's wife) to notify her about this non-compliance verbally and also in writing with the issuance of this non-compliance record.
