On 12-4-24 at 0715 hours while performing Antemortem verification I, CSI REDACTED, observed the following incidence of noncompliance: Pen # 5 containing six swine had a large tub for providing water. The water in the tub was frozen with no liquid water available for the swine. Mrs. REDACTED was immediately notified of the non-compliance and immediately had an employee to dump the ice and refill the tub with water. No product was affected. No U.S. Retain tag was applied due to immediate action being taken. The above-described situation does not meet the requirements of 9 CFR 313.2(e).
