On 6/27/2022 at about 5:40 AM while performing the GCP I, Dr. REDACTED observed the following non- compliance: At least 5 live birds entered the scalder from line #2. I warned the backup employee killer to stop the line who initially failed to do so. Later, after the line was stopped, I informed the live hang manager, Mr. REDACTED and 1st Picking Supervisor, Mr. REDACTED about the non-compliance. The corrective action was initiated after stopping the line. I performed the GCP again at 5:55 and 6:30 am and noted the problem was resolved. This was non-compliance as per CRF 381.65(b) and the establishment failure to comply their written Animal Welfare Procedure that states that backup employee killer is responsible for ensuring all the birds are dead before entering the scalder.
